“Wow we had a Wonderful 5 days at Daisy’s Cottage. Amy and Marcus are the perfect hosts and Middle Farm is a Heavenly Haven for Peace and Tranquility. The cottage’s are beautiful and Daisy’s Cottage is so well equipped and spotlessly clean and a Welcome Basket for us and our dog Archie who certainly felt like he owned the place. But the top highlight of our stay was meeting the four amigos (black nosed sheep) who were so welcoming to all guests and were very hospitable during our stay. I think I have fallen in love with Monty ❤️ We will be back”

“We spent 3 nights in Gooseyard Cottage which was delightful. Fully equipped with everything you need, including a welcome basket and beautiful fresh flowers! There was even a welcome box for our dog! We had every intention of exploring Shropshire but it turns out that Middle Farm is the BEST place to unwind, relax and just enjoy the peace and quiet. It’s a little piece of heaven and Marcus & Amy are consummate hosts, friendly, welcoming and always helpful. We can’t wait to return in October, for a bit longer this time so there’s room for both exploring and relaxing!”

“I can’t recommend Middle Farm Cottages in the beautiful Shropshire Hills highly enough. Each cottage is extremely well equipped with everything you need for your stay. The cottages are really cosy and warm and as the location is quite remote, it is very quiet so easily able to get a good night’s sleep! – there is good internet, smart TV, very comfortable beds (why would you want to venture outside!). A nice touch was a small basket of goodies. You can also buy (frozen) meals, all home made! and a good range of lamb and eggs from the farm (no food miles!) You are free to wander around the farm and look at the shire horses and Soay sheep. However, perhaps the best thing about Middle Farm is the wonderful hosts, Amy and Marcus who cannot do enough for you, making you feel really welcome and that nothing is too much trouble. We will be back.”

The accommodation was very well equipped and the comfortable beds and bedding provided us with a lovely night’s sleep. We all had a great time here and will definitely be booking a return visit. “We had the most lovely stay at Middle Farm. The farm is set against the beautiful Shropshire landscape with walks from the door. We really appreciated the walking routes available to use at the cottage, great selection. Amy and Marcus are very friendly and welcoming and clearly love their home and sharing it with others. We had some essentials and treats left for us on arrival, including pretty sweet peas from their gorgeous garden. Daisy’s is simply lovely. The local pub, 15 min walk, serve good beer and great food. We will return.”

“We had a wonderful three night stay at Middle Farm. We stayed in Gooseyard cottage and appreciated the thoughtfulness of everything that was provided. The cottage felt like a mini home from home. It was such a relaxing stay in a beautiful spot. Amy and Marcus are wonderful hosts and so friendly and welcoming. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the cottages and barn to anyone because it was all so good! We are hoping to get the opportunity to visit again sometime soon.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend staying at the Barn. Everything we could need was provided, and hosts Marcus & Amy were really welcoming. We loved the solitude of the farm, with it’s proximity to wonderful walking country. There was the added bonus of great local pubs within easy reach. It wasn’t necessary to eat out though, as Amy’s lasagne made for a marvellous Saturday night staying in with old friends. We would all recommend and hope to return next year.”

“Beautiful cottages in a stunning location. Amy and Marcus were such helpful and welcoming hosts and we had a wonderful time. The cottages are furnished to a very high standard and were very comfortable and peaceful. I would highly recommend them for a relaxing get away from it all. The backdrop of the Shropshire hills and countryside added to the holistic experience, and there’s plenty to do and see in the local area. All in all – a great place to unwind – and as a final note, Amy’s lasagne is delicious!”

“What a beautiful setting with lovely accommodation. We stayed at Daisy cottage, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you wished for including freshly laid eggs from their farm plus a few other goodies too! What a welcome! The owners Marcus and Amy showed warmth and great hospitality, always happy to help, suggesting places to visit and dine. As a frequent traveller I would highly recommend this little gem, we will be returning in the summer with our little dog whom enjoyed the break as much as we did! The surroundings are stunning, tranquility at its best, great pub literally 2 min drive or 5 min walk that serves great food, again great hospitality! The pub was called The Bottle and Glass, we ate there two evenings and enjoyed both meals, especially after a long walk in the day around Church Stretton. Just a wonderful place.”

“We stayed for a week in Gooseyard and it was excellent! Cosy and perfectly formed with lots of little details thought about and provided. Fabulous welcome basket, Amy & Marcus were great hosts who were so helpful and the peace and quiet, with walks out of the door in all directions made it a really lovely break. Amy’s ready meals are also highly recommended and the ice cream some of the best we’ve tasted.”

“We had a wonderful stay at Daisy’s Cottage thanks to Amy and Marcus who were friendly, welcoming and professional. We chose to stay as part of a Shire Horse Experience Day – highly recommended, the horses are truly magnificent. The cottage was delightfully decorated, spotlessly clean and had everything needed for a relaxing stay. We bought food from the farm shop on site, it was very high quality and delicious; it made a nice change to meet the well looked-after chickens who provided the eggs. The location is remote but it is a small haven in a very beautiful, peaceful unspoiled area far from the crowds – bliss!”

“The Barn is simply blissful, such a pretty building and everything is so well done. It’s in a wonderfully quiet spot, yet only a 15 minute walk from the local pub, The Bottle and Glass, which serves excellent food and a great selection of beers. The Barn is set on the farm, which is home to beautiful Shire horses and Swiss cows. There are many walks from the property, many with amazing views. Marcus and Amy, our hosts, were so welcoming, nothing too much trouble.”

“This place is absolutely amazing. I don’t know where to begin in reviewing this place as everything was truly outstanding. Amy is doing an amazing job with Middle Barn, it’s very clean, has all the amenities you could want, it’s like staying in a little bit of heaven. The Barn is so comfortable. I truly didn’t want to leave. We had milk, apple juice, eggs and cookies on arrival, you can purchase Amy’s home cooked meals from the farm shop, you can also buy Eco friendly hand wash, shampoo etc which smells Devine. There is a lovely country pub half a mile down the road, Glass & Bottle, that does amazing home cooked food. It’s all you could want when you go away. The walks from the door are brilliant and very well put together. We had a brilliant stay and will definitely be returning.”

“We absolutely loved our stay in Gooseyard Cottage on Middle Farm! We received a very warm welcome from Marcus & Amy, who got above & beyond to make their guests feel valued.
The farm itself is a tranquil gem surrounded by stunning scenery where you really can relax & recharge away from it all. We visited the wonderful local pub , The Bottle & Glass in the nearby hamlet of Picklescott, 15 minutes walk away, watched the calves being fed on the farm, met the majestic shire horses, chickens & ducks, all of whom live unobtrusively on the farm. Our cottage was very well appointed & very comfortable, with everything you need, including a welcome treat basket & fresh farm eggs. A real home from home! We loved it so much we’ve already booked to return! Thank you Marcus & Amy”

“We had a wonderful 6 night stay at Middle Farm in Daisy’s Place. High quality accommodation that was clean, comfortable and well equipped . Amy and Marcus were fantastic hosts . Welcoming, friendly and very helpful . They couldn’t have done any more to make our stay so special. Great location in a beautiful, quiet area and accessible to some lovely places and gardens to visit. We loved the outdoor sitting areas, gardens and the adorable farm animals. The private lake, a short stroll away, is a peaceful place to sit and relax even if you don’t fish! We enjoyed a very nice meal at the Bottle and Glass pub. Middle Farm is a truly special place which we can’t recommend highly enough and will look forward to staying there again.”

“We spent a welcome long weekend with our dog in Gooseyard Cottage recently, returning after 5 years when we occupied Daisy Cottage. Amy and Marcus were perfect hosts and the set up is not only beautiful but also exemplary with everything you need to be comfortable and to allow you to totally relax. The birds kept us entertained in the lovely garden spaces; farm animals are a delight; the farm ‘shop’ very useful and the location is picture perfect. We enjoyed Amy’s delicious breakfast hamper the first morning and engaged Mary of Holiday Hounds to take care of our spaniel while we visited the Shrewsbury Food Festival. We recommend both!! We hope to return again another year and maybe a different season next time when a fire pit could be more appropriate! It was a proper country escape after the heat at home.”

“Just arrived back from a wonderful stay in Gooseyard cottage. It exceeded all our expectations. The cottage was cosy, well maintained and had everything we needed for a self catering holiday. The welcome hamper was a lovely surprise. Marcus and Amy were delightful hosts who were on hand if needed. Their little farm shop had a wonderful selection of homemade meals and locally sourced meats. Middle Farm was in a perfect location to enjoy walks in the Shropshire hills and many other tourist attractions in the area. The immaculate guest garden was another added bonus and was especially enjoyed by Bramble our Labrador who made friends with the robotic lawn mower. She will miss the companionship! Finally I would strongly recommend booking a carriage ride with Steve’s shire horses. It was an amazing experience. We will certainly be recommending Middle Farm and Cottages to our friends and are already planning to return next year.”

“A couple of weeks ago we took over the barn and the cottages for an annual reunion of friends. It was absolutely perfect! We all had our own bathrooms and private spaces with plenty of communal areas for us to gather. The covered barbecue area was a real hit. The guest garden is enormous and just gorgeous for wandering around in with a morning cuppa. We even played a game of Mölkky (a sort of Finnish version of skittles) on the lawn. The beds in the properties are super comfortable and the kitchens are well equipped. Amy left welcome packs with local produce in for us all, you can’t get more local than eggs from the farm itself! Amy was excellent in answering (what felt like a million) email questions from me and gave some excellent tips and hints which made the weekend go so well. On the Saturday night of our stay we had a special meal (where we all dressed up!) so Marcus lit a fire for us to make it all cozy and welcoming. The icing on the cake was probably the carriage ride to take us to the local pub and back. The farm and cottages were recommended to me by a friend, and now it’s my turn to highly recommend them to everyone else. Just fabulous.”

Marcus and Amy were the most welcoming hosts, striking that perfect balance of warmth and attentiveness while giving us the space to truly relax. Gooseyard itself is a haven of comfort – spotlessly clean, thoughtfully designed, and equipped with everything you could wish for, from a wonderfully cosy living space to an exceptionally comfortable bed. The attention to detail is evident throughout, and feels wonderfully homely. Stepping outside, we were greeted by sweeping views of the Stretton Hills, the gentle presence of Shire horses and Soay sheep. A lovely patio area facing the peaceful garden where we enjoyed both an morning cup of tea and evening beer, there is a certain tranquillity that’s hard to put into words.”

“We had the best stay at Gooseyard! It was decorated beautifully, so clean, had everything you needed for a lovely stay in the countryside. The bed was also soo comfy’ Amy and Marcus were the nicest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting! They were very attentive but respectful of your privacy, they made sure we had everything we needed and nothing was too much trouble. Great recommendations of local walks and pubs. Seeing the animals was so idyllic and the Shropshire hills are absolutely stunning! I’d recommend this place to anyone.”
