You can gather in the converted byre and patio for a casual BBQ by the log burner, or stroll through the peaceful garden to sit under the rose pergola or enjoy the fire pit. Rain or shine, the Dutch Barn offers laid-back games like table tennis and darts.

From soft, tumble-dried towels to thoughtful essentials like hair-dryers and quality toiletries, every detail we have carefully considered so you can simply arrive, exhale, and enjoy.
Tucked into the rolling embrace of the Shropshire Hills, this charming retreat offers the ultimate in rural luxury.
On the ground floor, the living area is a place of relaxation, soft comfortable sofas, bookshelves to delve into, a pine chest full of board games and a large farmhouse table to gather around for evening meals. A well stocked kitchen with everything you’ll need to cook up a Sunday Roast (perhaps with our lamb from the farm shop) and a Nespresso coffee machine, dishwasher, large fridge freezer and a microwave.
And while the architecture is historic, the lifestyle isn’t; with ultra-fast WI-FI, Smart TV and a Bose bluetooth speaker, it will provide you with all the latest mod cons despite it being 400 years old.
The downstairs large master suite invites you to sink into a superking bed draped in sumptuous crisp white cotton sheets, while the en-suite bathroom boasts a large, deep soaking bath and a high-pressure shower fed by our own private spring.
The cottage’s character shines through its unique layout, featuring two separate staircases leading to beautiful upstairs bedroom. One staircase leads to a king-sized bedroom with its own dedicated bathroom, while up the second staircase, you’ll find a charming twin bedroom that kids, teenagers or good friends will love for its cosy cottage-like charm. Please note these are two fixed single beds (they don’t zip together into a superking), making this room ideal for children, teens, or good friends sharing! Due to the immense age of The Barn, a bathroom was not possible to fit for the twin room, access to bathroom is through the downstairs master or other king room bathroom
While the exposed beams preserve the cottage’s historic soul, every guest is treated to soft, tumble-dried bath sheets and hypoallergenic linens. For added convenience, a shared laundry room with eco-friendly facilities ensures your stay remains as effortless as the surrounding landscape.
Outside your door, you’ll find a dedicated patio space, with a teak dining set, reserved solely for guests staying at The Barn – a lovely spot to sit back with a morning coffee or a quiet evening drink and watch life go by slowly.
Because Middle Farm prides itself as a quiet, peaceful sanctuary for all, we maintain a peaceful atmosphere making The Barn perfect for relaxing escapes. It is not suited for loud parties, late night noise or any outside music.
